Our vision for Table Talk was to transport visitors back into the 1920s and the Art Deco period.
We’ve kept faithful to our beloved white marble and gold accents, this time on a range of textures and colours. One of these elements are the modern black and white flooring patterns, the soft blush velvet, and the rich but subdued emerald green.
Attention to detail is visible in the customised wallpaper in moulding panels, golden seashell and classical white cornice and a constant background of stark white makes all the elements pop. The lighting is dramatic, except in the mini library area which is ambient and calm, complete with tiny wall-mounted downshades.
Upstairs, a younger fun version featuring the same palette and finishes was applied. This area is designed as a working café and deli as opposed to the relatively sober fine dining vibe downstairs. Vibrant black and white flooring patterns are retained, green is switched to a lighter shade, and white dominates the finishes to uplift the space. The generous view of the cosy outdoor sitting area opens up the space, and the full mirror wall opposite enhances this feeling of spaciousness further. The lighting here is uniform with spots highlighting the counter and service area and concealed strip lighting to accentuate planes in a minimalist fashion.
The two spaces are cleverly divided with golden grills serving both as railing and partition.
