Karachi club is one of the most prestigious and oldest clubs of Karachi, established in 1907 it has grown immensely over the years. Social, cultural and sports are naturally the main activities of the club.

Set on the bank of Chinna Creek, this project enjoys an access to views and open spaces that is rare in Kararchi, and nature is integral to the design. Its three main buildings – a boat house, the main club and a gymnasium – are laid out in a linear arrangement to capture views, the built forms interspersed with a large lawn, pool and jogging track.

To the same end, the rectangular main building shelters glass walls and terraces inside a double height colonnade, integrating interior and exterior space. It is a post-and-beam structure built in reinforced concrete.


The club offers a wide range of facilities to its members.  The club’s main building is centrally air conditioned, with granite flooring. The reception area has an automatic glass door, a spacious lobby, which has a very relaxing ambiance.

 

Apart from boating activities for the members, the annex will offer five star dining facilities, roof top Bar-B-Q dinning, a jogging / walking track and a swimming pool with an adjoining health club which overlooks the creek.

The administration of the club is run by over 500 staff members under the supervision of a Financial Analyst & controller, Deputy General Manager, Assistant General Manager, IT Manager, Accounts Manager, Executive Chef, F and B Managers, Chief Security Officer and Heads of Departments of various sporting facilities.

With over 100 years of history behind the Karachi club, it is still perhaps the only growing club in the country. with two new plots of land purchased by the management, adjoining the main club, future projects include enhancement and expansion of existing facilities plus adding new facilities such as underground parking for 500 cars, an auditorium with seating capacity for 2000 people, a fully equipped ultra-modern kitchen to cater for over 1000 members a day and residential facilities, which is necessary to acquire reciprocal arrangements with some of the most prestigious clubs of the world with similar facilities, which would prove beneficial for our members when they travel abroad.
