Hospital Design | By Abdullah Khan Architects
Miranshah is a town and administrative headquarters of the North Waziristan Agency in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. The town lies on the banks of the Tochi river in a wide valley surrounded by the foothills of the Hindu Kush. The nearest town in Pakistan is Bannu and the nearest border town is Ghulam Ali in Afghanistan. As part of the repatriation process of the IDPs displaced by the recent conflict, Miranshah is striving to gain infrastruction restoration and development. The images enclosed illustrate the vision for the new Ladies Section, Type B hospital in Miranshah within the AHQ precincts.
The design is driven by the idea of textures identifying way finding techniques around the flow of the hospital.
At minimum, the scope of the projects is:
- Diagnostics, Visitors seating / amenities,
- Gynae – Surgical & Medical wards,
- post morterm,
- EPI centre,
- Staff residences.
