The design brief was to design a place where students and faculty can interact, eat and enjoy their free time within the university premises. The design uses clean contemporary lines with a combination of greys and yellows. The overall ambiance is complimented with natural wooden textures and indoor greenery. Different zones are highlighted with different seating formats, furniture types, along with flooring and ceiling differences.
The project was to renovate/interior design the cafeteria within the existing space and the challenge given to the architects was to design a solution with a pragmatic approach which maximizes seating capacity while catering to the diverse needs and uses of students and faculty.
