This is a three-storey building that houses classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, seminar rooms with breakout facilities and offices for doctoral and master’s degree students. Each classroom had diffused natural light to reduce the need for artificial lighting. A central courtyard provides a much-needed outdoor social space for students with trees grown on a grid to provide shade.
The building, composed of three masses, is centrally air-conditioned with the exception of the central mass, which is naturally ventilated. The facade follows the architectural language of all the new campus buildings, with fair-faced plaster bands, silbatta stone and recessed glazing.
IBA Centre of Entrepreneurship and Development (CED) accommodates
- Seminar rooms
- Computer labs and
- Offices for the entrepreneurs.
The building has a simple plan with straight clear cut corridors culminating into the emergency staircase.Light Scoops washes the corridor with natural light, catching it from the roof top.
Central patio provides the space for relaxation. The building is centrally air conditioned.
