The geometry of the plans is relatively free and the form is dynamic. The idea in mostly all designs by the office is to to break the compactness which characterizes all their plans. The restricted urban sites play a pivotal role in doing introverted layouts and play a part in an effective change to the quality of the spaces within.
The Principals are known for their bold design approach and understanding of materials and their projects portray a meaningful architectural expression with each passing year.
In this residence once again the spaces are identified and separated by circulation or transition areas. The use of the central water wall courtyard is cut out of a block all the way down to the lowest level to emphasise the identity of this central core that brings in ventilation & light keeping the privacy intact through a brick jafry. This jafry is then repeated in different corners of the building wherever it is needed.
All buildings by Suhail & Fawad Architects invariably consist of distinct and strongly articulated parts which help to breakdown the scale of the whole and so to integrate the building that stand out in its surroundings due their simple nature.
