The site for this neighbourhood townplanning exercise is tightly embedded within a neighborhood immediately south of the river and is surrounded by houses and large green spaces in Nowshera Cantonment,KP.
Our goal was to develop the site to human scale so that it may become a part of the larger surroundings whilst remaining digestible to the human eye. The buildings were developed to complement each other and respond to the clients brief of making abodes for 3 stakeholders; creating a neighborhood within the neighborhood. By making use of the vernacular, the style of the townhouse and by developing new elements for the building our intention was to embed the house within its surrounding but to ensure that it had its individuality.
