A fine example of classical design accompanied with characteristics of contemporary architectural styles, the residence is located at the fine neighborhood of F-8, Islamabad facing north. This high style classical dwelling with columns and gable roofs serves as a timeless design and fits well in modern day vicinity. All details regarding materials, colors, textures, decoration, ventilation and interplay of light and shadow were considered thoughtfully right in the early stages of designing. The facade articulation of this asymmetrical design combines the excessive use of stone cladding amalgamated with a fine flush of wood and marble claddings. While planning this five bedroom residence ventilation and maximum intake of natural light are given the prime importance. The house is divided into three stories comprising of ground floor, first floor and basement with a small swimming pool. Courtyards, roof garden and terraces are infused in the planning to let nature flow inside the interior spaces. The most interesting of all is a private courtyard attached to the neat kitchen where residents can enjoy their meals at any time of the day with privacy retained. The front lawn has been extended to the sides of the residence to provide views for all adjacent rooms. To add a dramatic feature to the project the double heighted lobby is capped with a dome, creating an exuberant impact. With intelligent orientation, controlled fenestrations and balanced incorporation of green spaces the house is designed carefully to low-energy passive standards.
