A renovation project for Ms. Nudrat Majeed’s Residence by Kamil Khan Mumtaz, includes design and fabrication of doors, ceilings, fireplace and railings by Anjuman Mimaran based on traditional vocabularies.
Kamil Khan Mumtaz is a Pakistani architect in private practice in Lahore. He was trained at the Architectural Association, London in the 1960’s after which he returned to Pakistan to practice and teach. He was head of the of the National College of Arts, Lahore between 1966-1975. He has been a memebr of several architecture juries and has widely lectured in Europe and Asia. In 1985, he authored Architecture in Pakistan, a Concept Media Publication.
As practicing architect, educator, author, and pioneer in the movement for conservation of architectural heritage. Kamil Khan Mumtaz, has been a leading influence in raising standards of architectural design in general.

Kamil Khan Mumtaz has been a practicing professional architect in Lahore for the past forty three years. From 1966 to 1975 he was in private practice; was a partner in the firm BKM Associates from 1975 to 1985; and ran his own practice from 1985 to 2006. With the addition of Taimoor Khan Mumtaz as a partner in 2006 the firm is now registered as Kamil Khan Mumtaz Architects.
The firm’s work includes residential, educational and commercial buildings.
